Let’s just say it: Zoom sucks.

Why are we stuck using a video chat software that feels like logging into AOL? Zoom has ridden a massive wave of success because when the pandemic hit, it was all we knew. Our culture has changed forever and Zoom has become a household verb ubiquitous with conference-calling like Kleenex is with tissue. This comes as a surprise considering how incredibly janky, awkward, and ugly the interface is. And no one says anything.

But I’m on a personal mission to change this. This post is certainly not an ad, but I am going to be documenting my experience using an alternative software to Zoom that I hope brings a more aesthetically pleasing, natural, and featured experience for us all. Video calls are here to stay, and I’m on a mission to make them suck less. You’re invited to join me and contribute and learn along with me.
