Learn to Meditate with Arawana Hayashi

Proposal for Shambhala Online Presented by Chase Bauer

Chase Bauer will produce, shoot, and edit an online introductory meditation course for Shambhala Online by October 7th, and it will be available to go live on Shambhala Online for their goal date of October 15th.

”Learn to Meditate” will be an evergreen program for new students, filmed with a high production value and hosted by esteemed and widely loved teacher Arawana Hayashi.

Reference:

In 2021, Chase made this video with Arawana to introduce Shambhala Online’s Heart of Warriorship program. The Learn to Meditate program will be filmed in a similar aesthetic style.

Deliverables:

The Learn to Meditate program will include 6-8 videos, depending on what the teacher feels is the best layout for the program. These guidelines wer provided by Shambhala Online:

  1. One on the view of meditation - what it is, why we do it, etc.

  2. One first meditation instruction.

  3. A video by Chase showing good posture, etc. This could be with you or someone else.

  4. A talk on how to work with thoughts and emotions.

  5. Guided meditation using these techniques

  6. Walking meditation, including ways to do this if you are in a tight space.

  7. A video by Chase of people walking outside at Sky Lake.

  8. A final talk on how a regular meditation practice will help, as well as tips for how often and long to meditate.

Budget:

  • Development of production plan, scheduling, budgeting, and communication.

    $500

  • One full day in Chase’s backdrop studio with Arawana.

    $1200

  • At Sky Lake. Walking Meditation Portion of the program.

    $350

  • Includes second camera for primary production day, as well as an offering for Sky Lake for use of their space and assistance.

  • Includes two full days of editing, as well as music licensing, titles, color grading, and export/delivery.

  • Total cost:

    $3,750

    This cost can be brought down by reducing the scope of work if necessary.

Payment:

A 50% Retainer Fee for the project must be paid before confirmation of production dates. The remaining 50% is due upon delivery of the final product.
